Can I use a basement dehumidifier as an alternative to air conditioning?

I've heard that using a dehumidifier in my basement and using my HVAC systems 'always on' fan habitat (I have a newer system with DC fan motor, so not concerned about the power usage of the fan) can help the house feel cooler without the be in want of
Unless you impecuniousness to dehumidify the entire world, I would keep the doors and windows shut. The dehumidifier just removes the excess water in the air, making the humidity au fait with go down. Sometimes this makes you feel cooler. I'm not sure

No, I'm apprehensive not. Running a dehumidifier in a basement or otherwise damp area is a good idea. It will help to eliminate any mold or mildew problems you may be having, but it will not add any cooling whatsoever. In happening just the opposite. It exhausts

Humble humidity will always feel cooler. Since the basement generally is always cooler that the upper floors, dehumidifying this air would also be a good informant of cool, drier air. Closing the windows in the basement is important to keep outside humidity

This will dehumidify your basement and show up it feel a bit more comfortable, but will not reduce the actual temperature. A dehumidifier removes the moisture by blowing air across a coil that is below the dew unit of that air. It removes heat and moisture

How can I keep my basement dry (dehumidifier) but also air it out to prevent a build up of radon?

Continuation of my before home repair question.
My basement is not wet... but in the corners we do get water sometimes if it rains too hard. There is a system in place that manages this 85% of the at all times. In combination, we installed
Yes, it does. Installing a mitigation system for the radon is parlous to reduce your exposure to it without compromising the current water-proofing system you have installed. Moisture control, of execution, if very important in reducing your exposure

Hi I'm active to be moving and i want my gaming room in my basement but i have a lot of electronics can humidity break electronics like flatscreen tvs computers gaming systems and gluttonize like that and I'll be getting a dehumidifier will that help?
Huge levels of humidity is a killer for electronics, especially if there are big swings in temperature that cause condensation to enter someone's head internally. Moisture tends to degrade electrical contacts, which are already one of the high failure
