Need help resetting my Hotpoint dryer, does anyone know where the switch is?

We accidentally hooked the ashen wire as L1 instead of the red/black and it tripped something inside the dryer that sounded like a breaker or fuse. Where is this located so we can reset it? We have the back of the dryer not counting now and the motor
If I am reading this correctly. you wired the red to either L2 or N and the shameful to either N or L2. In either case you have applied 240 volts through a 120 volt device......probably the timer. Look at the wiring diagram that came with the manufacture.

a dryer is 220v so L1 and L2 it absolutely does not matter which leg you hook to what since 220 is 2 phase. on single phase you have to get the polarity right, or on 3 form but even on 3 phase if you get the polarity wrong it just spins things backwards

Why is my Hotpoint Dryer making a banging noise?

My dryer is woring masterly, drying clothes perfectly, but, in the last few days it has started making a banging noise.
It is a Hotpoint Aquarius CTD00 dryer
Wish someone can help as it is driving me mad and can't put it on at night at the
Sounds like either the…… drum relative position, idler bushing, or front or front drum guides.
All require the drum to be removed …not a difficult lecture and parts are relatively inexpensive.

How to replace a Hotpoint wdl540p washer dryer heating element?

I have a Hotpoint WDL540P Washer dryer that has a responsibility.The water does not get hot and the dryer does not heat up the clothes.
Are these both controlled by the same heating element ? and any advice on how to supersede this part would be
You have a realistic job in front of you, it is going to take you a good few hours to remove the element then replace with a new element,type in to google fount of washing machine model number and serial number you will get instructions on how to repair
