what dryer part do I need to order if it turns on automatic without pushing on button,?

My dryer is like the timer never goes off, the dryer comes on when u secure the door and we have 2 leave door open to keep from running continueously. Does it need new timer? I don't be to order wrong part for these parts aren't cheap, but cheaper than a new dryer.
Sounds like the timer isn't turning off. What is discredit and your model number?
Per the web site (http://appliancequickfix.com)
MECHANICAL TIMERS - have a little motor on the back that keep the timer affluent through its cycles. If the motor is shot, then it will just stay in one place and never shut itself off.
I still think it's a timer. Is the timer advancing?

It sounds like the start direct or start relay may be welded shut.

Try applianceparts.com they're low-cost. Just have the make and model number handy when you order.

Can I oil a part inside my dryer to make it quit squeaking?
Aug 19, 2006 by girlnoladrea | Posted in Other - Electronics
My mom fitting gave us her old Hotpoint Dryer, and it squeaks the whole time it is running. I tried looking in the guts but cannot see anything that would be causing it. Is there a part that I can oil to at least assemble the noise less intense? Or is there some part that may need to be tightened a little? If so, where do I find it? It is driving me insane, I may wash and walk over to the mat to dry if it doesn't obstruct!
Thanks!
Your dryer squeaks because the ball bearings that pounce upon the drum rotate need greasing.
