Alternate routes...
Rick and I are idea of alternate ways of living because we're getting fed up with waiting on USDA Agricultural Development to come through with our paperwork.
One (the at bottom awesome idea) is a strawbale home. We've picked out plans HERE. The solely problems with the plans are that there isn't a pantry for prog storage, and we don't have a stackable washer and dryer. Go HERE to learn about strawbale construction. They are ardent in high winds, more fire resistant than conventionally built homes, and unusually energy efficient. We are also not sure we could get that stripe of money.
The other idea, since there are no homes for trade in the country, would be to find an old house that hadn't been lived in for a while and either buy it, lease it (or maybe or rent-to-own) and fix it up.
We've done that before. It took two months of cleaning and things in front of we moved into that old farm house, but it was the one burden we have lived that we were most peacefulness. Even with the holes in the living room parquet... lol
We have a house we'd like to inquire close by, southwest of town. This is it:
The previous farmhouse had a bit more paint... but not much... and it was in fro the same shape.
Even my sister told me this was more our rage... everyone knows we hate new houses... lol
It would be a lot of line, but...
