I had a other brand/model it had a rotating wheel covered w/black sponge type fabric it got wet when it turned around. The pan was 1/2 full of drinking-water. If your water fill is not hooked up or corroded just fill it w/ a pitcher of water.

its unreservedly old looking but humidistat does seem to click on when turned. the spong filter needs replacing but I dont desire to purchase until I know it works.Thank you

I am removing an old rusty drum humidifier. how do I tract the duct work up since I don't need to use one again.
Really remove the humidifier from the duct. there will be a hole cut a piece of 22 gauge metal 2 inches larger than the joint,clean the area around the hole apply a bead of silicone cauk around the hole and screw the 22 ga. darn over the hole with metal
