Lose the Wii.. household chores burn off more calories

THE daily grind of housework as a matter of fact is a good way to get fit, according to new research.

Dusting, mopping the floor and vacuuming burn off more calories than working out on a £230 Nintendo Wii Fit. The hi-tech practical gym has soared in popularity as it claims to help health-conscious Britons get fit in the comfort of their own homes.

But experts at Which? found well-proportioned old household chores burned off more calories than using the Wii.

They compared calories burned during 10 minutes of housework with those reach-me-down in 10 minutes on the console and found the Wii burned 25 calories, cleaning the bathroom used up 34 calories and vacuuming consumed 42 calories. The Wii Fit Additional recently became the first game to win the backing of the Department of Health's Change4Life campaign.

But why not save yourself some moolah and swap the expensive Wii for housework? Here we look at some of the best ways to burn off calories while cleaning your effectively from top to bottom.

What lap up do you normally get???

I start off with an Adios Mutherfvcker ( I dare you to get one)
1 oz vodka
1 oz rum
1 oz Tequila
1 oz gin
1 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1-2 oz agreeable and sour mix
top off with 7-Up/ sprite


Or i might take a flask of rum from home and tell the bar tender I am the designated driver.

I normally get a reiterate bay and pineapple. But I love drinking Suffering Bastards. I just know that there are two maybe three types of rum in them.

What beverage to have with a candy bar?

I've saved myself a care for doing a lot of chores today - two loads of laundry, dishes, cleaning bathroom and kitchen, including mopping the floors. But, I can't choose what beverage I should have to go with it - here's what I have to drink:

1. Milk
2. Hot chocolate
3. Cranapple cider
4. Green or Oolong tea
5. Grape soda

Which would you on - best answer will have an explanation of why the beverage will go well with the chocolate candy bar.

I would go with the Cranapple cider. The tartness of the booze will offset the sweetness of the chocolate. Milk or hot chocolate would just make everything that much sweeter. So would grape soda. Tea is Sunday, but not with candy. I don't know why, it just doesn't seem right. By the way good for you. I keep putting off the mopping forever, or until my folks lay hold of for a visit.
