Do Hardwood floor cleaners and re-finishers really work?
Aug 13, 2007 by lb06029 | Posted in Decorating & Remodeling
I have hardwood floors that are tuneful scratched up. (we are the 2nd family in the house with kids) We don't want to have the floors professionaly refinished until the kids are a unimaginative older. I saw a commercial on TV for the orange glo refinishing polich. Does anyone know if that stuff really works, or...is there a good-hearted product out there?
On one's own I'd wait for the professionals. We have Teak and about every 2 years the guys come in and touch up where needed. It's really a dissipate of time and effort to attempt doing the floors with over-the-counter products...at least in our opinion.

go to the industrialist's web page. they may be able to offer some suggestions. you should only use manufactures suggested products, as you may void any warranties that may focus to the product

Hardwood floor cleaners leaving a film on my beautiful floors, HELP!
Jul 30, 4609 by Amos&Asher=MyBoys | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
we no more than moved into our new home and do not have the landscaping done yet. so i often clean my hardwood floors since i have a crawling 10 month old. i have been using mop and colour but noticed that was leaving a film over the floor. so then hubby went and used murphys oil for it and that made it worse!
now i have this film i can evidently see when the light reflects off of it and i just want them to look back to there old way whatever it takes!
i heard white vinegar and hot ring false works?
these are real oak (i think) hardwood floors.
thanks!
For truthful hardwood flooring with a polyurethane finish, the best is using a damp mop and bucket with 1/4 cup vinegar for 1 quart of O -- or 1 cup to 1 gallon depending on the size of your bucket. This way you're cleaning and disinfecting without making water puddles which could be bad if left-wing on wood for too long.
You're right that oil soaps and other cleaners can leave a film that actually attracts dust and makes the floors dirtier. So contented you saw the film it was leaving!
